My base of operations is this website – WebBridge Studios – where I’m the lead designer and developer. I’m also the co-founder of a company called BeachSheetz which is an amazing product that I’m very proud of.
I’ve been immersed in the creative world for years, and have been building websites since 2010. I absolutely love what I do for a living. With a background in design, I have a passion for creating, and strive to keep “clean and intuitive” at the forefront of anything I do. I’ve been told by many of my closest friends, family members, and colleagues that I’m “extremely detailed and obsessed with perfection.”
Aside from being a web guy, I also enjoy the Automotive industry, traveling, fitness, cooking, hiking, fishing, and the occasional video game. I exercise five days a week and try to eat as clean and healthy as possible.
Born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Atlanta, GA – I have spent the last eight years in Southern California and love it out here. I currently reside in Irvine, CA and I’m planning on relocating to Dallas, TX in the near future to be closer to family.
Back in the summer of 2009, I booked a one way flight to Valdez Alaska to land a job commercial fishing for Salmon over the summer. I spent three weeks in Valdez, which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It also happens to be one of the most beautiful places in the world – a small town surrounded by majestic, snow covered mountains, that leads into the heart of the Prince William Sound. I have to visit Valdez again, and I suggest that you see it for your own eyes because it’s absolutely breathtaking!
As soon as I landed, I met a family – the Goudreau’s – who took me in as their own. They introduced me to world of wonderful people and experiences that I’ll never forget. Till this day, I still can’t believe the hospitality and grace that was simply thrown my way. We played softball and video games; we watched movies and went on hikes; they gave me a 21 speed bike and allowed me (a complete stranger) to stay in their guest bedroom as if I were family. They even threw me a party by the docks on my last day in town.
While in Valdez, I walked the docks every morning and afternoon trying to meet as many Captains as I could in hopes of finding work. Three weeks in, and with no luck, I met a guy named Charlie who offered to take me to Kodiak Alaska where my chances of finding work were much higher than in Valdez. Being that I was on a mission, and not on vacation, I took him up on his offer. 🙂
The very next day, Charlie and I hitchhiked over 500 miles through Glennallen, Palmer, and Anchorage – and finally arrived in Homer two days later. We spent the night at his friends house and then jumped on an eight hour ferry to the island of Kodiak the next morning.
Crazy? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely! Life Changing? One of the best experiences of my life.
Within two days of being in Kodiak, I landed a job on the Family Pride, which is one of the top purse seiners in one of the largest fishing fleets in the United States. A few weeks later, we set out to sea and began our season.
I created this video to share my thoughts and experience with my friends and family. Hopefully you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it:
